Grazing & working goats on 1.5 acres in an urban Arizona town

As a welcoming gift my dad treated me to two pregnant does of my choice to keep the meadow nicely “mowed” and try my hand at working with goats. I grew up with few pets but knew the basics; feed them, water them, keep them alive. I was thrilled by the idea and knew just who to call, Amanda Amos of Cabra Pequena, a friend and very knowledgable goat herder located about 20 miles southwest of Prescott. I drove out to meet her herd and fell head over heals for her LaMancha x Toggeburg does Moonshine & Moonbeam who were both due to kid the following spring. We loaded them into the back seat of my new truck and headed home that day.
